Important Information Regarding Tanzania Visa

To visit the United Republic of Tanzania, you can get a Tanzanian Visa either on arrival or e-Visa which you can apply for before your arrival to Tanzania.
If you are visiting within two weeks, we recommend getting a Visa on Arrival, if you are permitted to do so.
You will be asked to fill-in our details for your visa. We will provide these to you on your booking voucher.

Visa on arrival:
You can get a Tanzanian visa upon arrival also. You need to fill in a form and produce your passport at the counter. Please note your passport must have a validity of at least 6 months.

The visa charges are 100 USD for US citizens and 50 USD for the rest of the world.
NOTE: Clients arriving in Kilimanjaro without a visa now need to complete the following process:
● Queue for a Government Control Number
● Queue to pay for this at the bank
● Queue for Immigration to check and issue the visa

We strongly recommend that those that still have time before they travel apply for their Tanzania visa online at www.immigration.go.tz .
Visa on arrival process can take in excess of two hours, and we’d really prefer that your guests did not have to go through that. We’ve been reassured that measures are being put in place to make this quicker, but until that happens we feel that the above recommendation is our best bet.
eVisa:
To get an online visa, you will have to fill an online form, make payment and then submit the same. This form will be internally reviewed and processed. The status of the application (if it has been accepted or rejected) can be viewed through the online system. The applicants will receive notification regarding their visa status through email.

We request all our travelers who are looking to get an online visa to book through the official Tanzania Immigration website only and not through any other links.

The official link of the Tanzania Immigration website is https://visa.immigration.go.tz/
When applying for an online visa, first you will be requested to fill in basic information like your email, passport number, passport issue country, a security question and its answer. After filling these details you will be able to start a new application. Upon starting a new application, kindly fill in the required fields with correct information.
